I’ve only listened to the first 12 episodes so far, but I’ve heard what I needed to hear to go after grant writing: 1. My skills translate 2. My natural interests translate 3. My desire to help a good cause translates 4. I know (mostly) how to get started 5. The world needs me to make a difference Highly recommended!

Last week I decide I wanted to get into grant writing. There are so many books available and so much information on the web I wondered, “Where do I start?” I started with this podcast yesterday and I am so glad I did! I listened to several of Teresa’s episodes during a bike ride. When I listen to a podcast for professional enrichment, I want it to be direct and precise, and Teresa’s podcast is exactly that, without being too dry. The topics are specific and relevant without being repetitive. Much like Teresa specifies in grants that writing must be concise, the podcast is too. Some are 15 minutes long and I appreciate that she knows she can cover the topic in a short period of time without feeling pressure to extend them to an arbitrary length, like an hour. They are also well-edited—no coffee slurping or pregnant pauses. The very first episode is useful without a lot of fluffy pretense that leaves you asking “Can you get on with it already?” Teresa speaks clearly and professionally. I can just feel her efficiency and effectiveness coming through!

I had the privilege of working with Teresa on a very large project and it was the most pleasant paid service I’ve had since I have been business. She’s an amazing at helping you think think through your solution or project. She also pushes and believes in her clients. As usual the strategy session for the podcast was amazing and thought provoking. When I leave, I have to hurry and write things down because she always cultivates my creativeness. In all, I will be working with Teresa for the long haul. She’s definitely a keeper.

Teresa does an excelet job explaining grant writiing, non-profits, freelance work, mentoring, and more. I love how she breaks down the material into manageable and actionable steps that you can use in your business. I highly recommend this podcast!
